He taught me to play the piano when I was three.
He told me to share my talent, so I did.
He taught me that education opened doors. I stopped short of my PhD.

He told me that the only place to live was Florida. Here I am.

He told me that I was meant to be a teacher, and I would never regret it. He was right. I still miss my kids and watch them become teachers and parents themselves. (He also taught me to be silly.)

He taught me to be proud of him, and I always will be. (He retired from the Reserves as a Major).

He taught me to work hard, never give up, take risks, reach for the stars and to be humble. Thank you, Daddy. I love you, and I wish you the happiest of birthdays up there.
